Summer 2016 Job Opportunities

We would like to increase our pool of occasional cover staff and volunteers who we book on a casual basis to cover staff absence. This work fits well with people who have other part time or flexible commitments who are seeking to build and maintain their knowledge and ability to work with young children. We are looking for people with a passion and interest in working with children under five years old. Experience working with this age group is preferred. Understanding the importance of close attachment relationships and enjoying tuning into the needs and interests of children is essential.

This post is for people who are bright, energetic, playful and imaginative. Ideally they might also be able to confidently use their knowledge of child development to observe and plan for children as individuals and members of a group. Also to have the ability to evaluate outcomes for children and to reflect on their own practice. A positive open minded approach to situations is essential as is the ability to work on their own initiative if necessary. High standards of professional practice are expected and the willingness to engage in further training. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Minihome offers a place where committed staff with good ideas can make their mark. Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Submit a request for an application pack here:
